December 16, 1982
Ben Puckett opens the doors to Puckett Machinery Company for the first time.
March 1, 1987
Richard Puckett is named President and General Manager of the Company. Under his leadership, the company continues to grow, despite a very challenging economic climate.
November 2, 1994
Ben Puckett sells his interest in the company to three of his sons, Richard, Ben, and John.
January 2005
Hastings Puckett becomes an owner of the company and is named Vice President of Sales and Rental Services.
December 2010
Puckett Machinery Company and D-M Equipment, the Blount/Prentice Forest Products dealer for southwest Mississippi and eastern Louisiana, announce the merging of their companies. The move provides our customers an unmatched level of quality, expertise, and support in the forest products industry. About three years later, D-M Equipment and Puckett Machinery’s Brookhaven facility join, all under the name Puckett Machinery Company with a new store in Brookhaven.
January 1, 2011
Hastings Puckett is named president of Puckett Machinery Company. At that time, Richard Puckett becomes the company’s chairman and CEO. Upon taking the office of president, Hastings becomes the third-generation president of the company.
September 2013
We move into our new corporate headquarters located at 100 Caterpillar Drive in Flowood. This state-of-the-art facility positions us to offer our customers support at an entirely new level with a host of more efficient features and capabilities plus the very latest in construction equipment service technology.
October 2018
Weiler announces it is entering into a definitive agreement to purchase Caterpillar’s purpose-built forestry business.
September 1, 2019
The agreement with Caterpillar is signed and Weiler Forestry is formed.
December 17, 2019
Our first Weiler forestry machine – a S350 Skidder – is delivered and begins making history in southern Mississippi.
